Cornish Riding Holidays is a family run equestrian centre, open all-year round for hacking, tuition and residential riding holidays. Unaccompanied fun packed children's holidays are run throughout the year during school breaks. Adult courses, tailored to suit the individual take place during term times, all standards are catered for but we specialise in novice and the nervous. We are set in the heart of the Cornish countryside in an area steeped in the history of seafaring and tin-mining. We are well situated for visiting the family attractions and beauty spots that Cornwall is famous for. The strains of everyday life will

soon disappear in the relaxed friendly atmosphere, with our animals and staff.

We are fully licensed, insured and approved by The British Horse Society, The Association of British Riding Schools. These inspections cover the care of the horses, tack, the standard of facilities and level of teaching.  Lessons are given by our energetic and friendly team of B.H.S. and A.B.R.S. qualified instructors.

We have many breeds of horses both Native and European, ranging from 10 to 17 hands high, and schooled to an exceptionally high standard. Many are, or have been competition horses in different spheres. The fifty or so horses include grade 'C' show jumpers, novice eventers and medium level dressage horses.

Teaching is of a high standard carried out in our full size, purpose-built indoor and international size outdoor arena. We have a full course of jumps for those wishing to improve their show jumping.  Once you feel confident, try the more challenging obstacles and combinations situated in the open fields. For the more adventurous we have a progressive series of cross country courses.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful open countryside threaded with bridleways and tracks ready to be explored on horseback. Hacking takes in a variety of terrain to suit every standard of rider. If you simply enjoy your riding then there are long woodland canters, steep hills to scramble up and streams to splash through, or on Gwithian Beach. 4 miles of golden sand.

 Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and evening. We now have a fantastic new attraction, after a hard days riding why not relax in our 7 person Jacuzzi Hot Tub, situated in the BBQ and Patio area of the bungalow.
 
   The tariff includes three meals a day, the main one in the evening, all snacks and riding. The food is good home-made farmhouse fare and vegetarian meals are a speciality. Please make a note when booking if you require any special diet.
 
   All bed linen is provided but bring your own towel/s. Do remember to pack your swim-suit if you want to visit the beach, swimming pool or try our Jacuzzi.
 
   You may bring your own horse at no extra charge, but please bring your own feed, so as not to upset their dietary routine. Let us know details when you book.

   Weekly change from Sunday 2pm (after-lunch) until Saturday 2pm (after-lunch), two or more weeks inclusive of Saturday evening.
 
Finding us:
   We are just one mile from the small tin-mining town of Redruth on the B3297 road to Helston. There is no extra charge for transport from Redruth rail and bus station if required. We are well served with Inter-City trains and buses. Location Page:

LOCAL ACTIVITIES AND AMENITIES

   As we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty, walking from the centre through the local tin mines on the mineral tramways, perhaps to one of the village pubs is a must. In Redruth town there is a nightclub and pubs with live bands to a hotel offering swimming pool with cocktail bar, sauna and Jacuzzi.

   A car or bus journey away offers attractions like the Eden Project, Maritime Museum, Surfing, Bowling, Karting, Poldark Mine, Minack Theatre, Coastal Walks, Beaches, The Leisure Centre and Flambards Theme Park.
